Getting started
Do I need an ?
No. Reading, watching, searching and recommending are free for everyone. A free adds playlists, favorite and hidden tags, comments, ratings and notifications.
What is the "Adults only" box?
The site is for adults. Press I am 18 or older, enter. Your browser re it for a year.
What is the "Your privacy" box?
It asks which cookies you allow. Reject all and Accept all both work; the site runs fine either way. Choose what to allow lets you pick one kind at a time.
Changed your mind? Press Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
How do I sign up?
Press Sign up at the top right.
Pick a name, give your email and a , tick the box and press Create . Then open the link we email you; you can once your email is confirmed.
I forgot my , or the email never came.
On the page press ? and we email you a link that works for 60 minutes. The link under it, Did not get the confirmation email?, sends the email again.
I am on a phone. Where is everything?
Use the bar at the bottom of the screen: Home, Browse, Search, Playlists and . The menu button (three lines, top left) has the rest.
Can I use a light theme?
Press the sun or moon button next to the bell. can also set it in , Preferences, Theme.
Finding something to read
How do I search?
Type at least three letters in the box at the top. Tags (artists, parodies and so on) show first, then books. Use the arrow keys and Enter, or click. Clicking the empty box shows your recent searches and popular tags.
Can I search by tag, or leave a tag out?
Yes, on the Search page. Press Tags to open Advanced search. Artists, next to it, lets you tick artists, and Reset all clears everything.
Type in Filter tags, then press Include or Exclude next to each tag you want. Pick a Type if you like and press Apply. With Match any tag off, a series needs every tag you included.
How do I browse the whole library?
Open Browse. Show picks a type (Doujinshi, Videos, Completed...), Sort by changes the order, and Starts with jumps to a letter. Advanced search filters by tag.
Where are Trending, For you and the other lists?
In the menu (three lines, top left). Trending is the most read books for yesterday, last week, last month or all time. For you suggests books like the ones you read; until it knows you, it shows what is trending. Tags lists every tag, artist and parody.
I cannot decide. Is there a random button?
Yes: Surprise me on the home page opens a random series.
What do the little labels on covers mean?
- Ch. 12 or Ep. 3: the latest chapter or episode.
- HOT: one of the 20 most read yesterday.
- FAV: has a tag you favorited. HIDDEN: has a tag you hid (the cover is dimmed).
- Read: you have opened it before.
Reading
How do I start reading?
On a book's page press Start reading. If you read it before, the button says Continue and takes you back to your page. Latest jumps to the newest chapter.
How do I pick a chapter?
Open the Chapter list tab under the book. Preview shows a chapter's pages as small pictures, and Comments holds the talk and ratings.
How do I turn pages?
Click or tap the page to go forward; the left third goes back. On a keyboard use the arrow keys, or A and D.
The bar above the page picks the chapter and page, and All pages shows every page at once. The settings button at its right end opens Reading settings.
Reading mode switches between Single, Double (two pages side by side on big screens) and Strip (one long scroll). Fit to the screen shows a whole page without scrolling, Right to left is manga order, and Full screen hides everything else.
How do I get to the next chapter?
Press Next chapter under the page. Previous chapter sits next to it once you are past the first one.
Where did I stop?
The home page has a Continue reading row, and the book's Start reading button turns into Continue. This is kept in your browser, so another phone or computer will not know it. also get a History playlist.
Can I hide books I already read, or read right to left every time?
Yes, in , Preferences. These are saved in this browser only, so set them again on another device.
Videos
How does the video player work?
Press play. The round arrows jump 10 seconds back or forward, and the bottom bar has next episode, quality, volume and full screen. Autoplay starts the next episode by itself. On a keyboard: Space plays or pauses, the arrow keys jump 5 seconds, F is full screen.
The player re where you stopped and offers to resume.
Can I an episode?
see a button under the player when a file is available. The link works for 6 hours.
Playlists
How do I save a book for later?
Press Save on the book's page and tick a list. To start a new list, type a name and press Create. Needs an .
Where are my playlists?
Click your name at the top right and choose Playlists (on a phone: Playlists in the bar at the bottom). You always have Favorites, Read Later and History; History fills itself as you read.
Press New playlist to make your own.
Who can see my playlists?
Use the menu button (three dots) on a playlist's card to choose. Public shows it on your profile, Unlisted works only for people you send the link to, and Private is just for you. The same menu renames or deletes your own lists (deleting a list never deletes the books).
Can I read a whole playlist in a row?
Open the playlist and press Read all (or Shuffle). At the end of each book the reader offers Next in the list. To change the order, drag a row, or use Top, Bottom and Remove.
Tags
How do I see more of an artist or tag I like?
Click the tag (on a book's page, for example), then press Favorite. Books with it get a FAV label, For you leans towards them, and new books by favorite artists, circles, parodies and translators show up in your notifications.
How do I stop seeing a tag?
On the tag's page press Hide this tag. Books with it are dimmed with a HIDDEN label, or removed from lists if you turn on Hide books with tags you hid in , Preferences. , Tags lists everything you favorited or hid; add more there, or press the x to undo.
Comments and ratings
How do I comment?
Open the Comments tab on a book (or scroll under a chapter or episode), write in the box and press Post. Needs an .
Under each comment you can like or dislike, Reply or Report. Your own comments also get Edit and Delete.
How do I rate a book?
Press Rate on the book's page (or open Rate this in the Comments tab), pick 1 to 5 for each part and press Save my rating. Your rating shows next to your comments.
What does Recommend do?
The heart button tells others a book is worth it. Anyone can press it, once a day per book.
Notifications
What does the bell show?
For : replies to your comments, answers from staff and new books from your favorite artists, circles, parodies and translators. A pink dot means something is unread. See all keeps the last 90 days.
For guests it shows how many books were added since your last visit.
Can I get new books by email?
Yes. In , Activity, set Email me what is new to Daily or Weekly. Every email has a link to stop them.
Levels and H Coins
What are levels and badges?
earn EXP for what they do: finishing chapters, comments, approved corrections and s, valid reports, best answers in Help and the daily check-in. Each kind has its own track that goes from level 1 to 99, with a badge at levels 5, 10, 25, 50 and 99.
Your tracks are in , Profile, where you also pick a title and the badges shown on your profile. Levels and badges lists what earns EXP and every achievement.
What is the daily check-in?
Once a day, press Check in on the bar at the top of the page (or Not now to hide it for today). Each check-in pays EXP and H Coins.
The Daily check-in card has 28 days, and days 7, 14, 21 and 28 pay extra. Miss a day and the card starts again at day 1, unless you spend a few H Coins the next day to save your streak. Days change at midnight UTC. You can open the card any time from the menu under your name.
What are H Coins for?
You earn H Coins by checking in. Click your name, then H Coins, to spend them: send some to an er or a friend, buy 24 hours without ads, unlock profile extras (name color, avatar frame, one more badge on your profile) or enter a raffle. They can also boost a book request (see Community below).

How do I turn on two-factor ?
In , Security, press Set up two-factor and enter your . Scan the picture with an authenticator app, type the 6-digit code and press Turn on. Keep the backup codes somewhere safe: they are shown only once.
How do I delete my ?
In , Privacy and data, press Delete my , enter your and tick the box. Your profile, playlists and favorites are gone for good; your comments and ratings stay under "Deleted ". Want a copy first? Press my data.
Community
A page is broken or a tag is wrong. How do I tell staff?
On the book's page press Report a problem (top right). can press Suggest a correction to fix a title, description or tags themselves; staff check it first.
For one chapter, use Report next to it in the Chapter list. Comments, playlists and profiles have their own Report links too. Guests leave an email so staff can answer.
Can I ask for a book to be added?
Yes. Open Community and press Request a book. Say where to find it and whether it needs translating or ing.
Want it sooner? Open the request and press Boost: boosted requests climb the Most wanted list. On a translation request you can also Pledge H Coins to a bounty for whoever translates it. Both are given back if staff reject the request.
How do I know what happened to my report?
Everything sent to staff shows on the Community board with its answer. also get a notification; guests get one email once they confirm their address.
